Last month, Abercamlais joined hundreds of historic sites, landmarks and hidden gems in celebrating the Open Doors Festival. Funded and organised by Cadw, this increasingly popular festival of Wales’ built heritage encourages the public to get out and explore some of the country’s lesser-known and smaller-scale sites, all free of charge.

Visitors from near and far were welcomed to the house and garden over the weekend for tours.  Despite a few showers on the Sunday, the sun came out and numbers were high on both days. It was lovely to meet people and talk about the history of Abercamlais, as well as showing them our exciting garden projects. We look forward to next year’s festival – a great weekend for everyone!
